Candice Hammack Yoga

Curiosity and intrigue led Candice to attend her first yoga class in 2007. The practice became a lovely weekly addition to her life. Eventually curiosity and intrigue led her to Dharma Yoga of Austin in 2008, completing a 200-hr teacher training. In 2010, Candice completed Dharma Yoga's 100-hr Intensive training, following a 40-hr Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series training with David Swenson. Blessed to have met teachers such as David Williams, Kino Macgregor, and Beryl Bender Birch, Candice continues to seek out asana teachers at every opportunity, yet also finds the subtle yoga teachings from the "hidden guru's" throughout daily life. Some of the most inspiring individuals seem to be the yoga students themselves. Seeing their light and their potential, reminds her of her own, tracing us all back to the same source of grace.

In 2015, Candice completed the Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Practitioner training. Blending breathwork, assisted yoga postures, meditation, and client guided dialogue, yoga therapy sessions hold beautiful opportunities for a deeper sense of self, body awareness, and have the potential for deep and meaningful life shifts. Candice provides a safe space for healing with a compassionate presence.

Candice is a Level 2 Certified Reiki practitioner as well. Reiki can remove energy blocks and provide profound shifts in mood, energy, and well being.

Candice is certified through the Prenatal Yoga Center in NYC to teach prenatal and postnatal yoga. She finds working with expecting mothers to be incredibly rewarding and powerful. Candice is a DONA doula, offering support before, during, and after birth.

Candice is a yoga teacher by day, a painter by night, and a 24-7 lover of life. Upon graduating from Texas State University with a B.A. in Psychology and Studio Art in 2012, she now currently hangs her hat and parks her boots in New York City. Thriving with the energy of the city, the taste and flavors of diversity, and persistent practice in patience, NYC is now home.
